A Leader in the Building Trade
Graystone Builders has built strong ties to the community.
Community and Business
It is the belief of owner Walter Woods, that offering support to those in need is what community is all about. Walter has supported many local organizations and events including organizing a bonfire and music event at Long Sands Beach for many years. The proceeds from this annual event are donated directly to a local charity. Many members of the community enjoy and look forward to this annual event on the beach.
The Seacoast area offers numerous shopping opportunities. Downtown Portsmouth has an abundance of specialty and boutique shops, The Kittery Outlets, a few miles south, offer fabulous deals for everyone. There are also splendid restaurants offering culinary experiences one would only expect from large metro areas. Are we boasting? Well, sort of. But certainly not exaggerating. After dinner consider a walk along the sandy beaches, estuary or on the open lands provided by the York Land Trust.
The seacoast is a very beautiful place. We chose to raise our family here because of all the area has to offer. – Walter Woods
History of the Seacoast
The term ‘Seacoast’ includes areas from the coast of New Hampshire to Portland, Maine. The earliest European inhabitants arrived and settled in the late 1500’s and have continued settling the area ever since. With such rich natural resources it is no wonder the Native Americans were here thousands of years earlier.
The great Atlantic Ocean is no doubt the areas largest draw. It affords abundant opportunities for recreation, aquaculture and unlimited, never-the-same, spectacular sunrises. Many people come to the area for summer vacations and fall in love with the landscape, culture and ocean.
If you are reading this you will understand what we mean. There is no place quite as special as the Seacoast area. Walter Woods and his company invite you to look around and when you are ready call Graystone Builders and start the process of creating your dream home.
